Disco Volante - 2010 Devastator Jr. Awards!

Hello sports fans! Welcome to the Devastator Jr. Awards 2010.

2010 wasn't a year for big, blockbustery, paradigm shifting releases, but there were an awful lot of smaller, subtler, but equally rewarding records. So this year's list is devoted mainly to those acts that may not have made a huge splash, but we loved anyway. The albums are listed not in favorite order, I'll leave that for you to decide, but in the order they appear on the 2010 Devastator Jr. Awards mix, which is up for the download.

You could also call 2010 the year of Madlib, his monthly Medicine Show mix series displaying his apparently inexhaustible grasp of pop music and ingenious mixing ability, not to mention Young Jazz Rebels, The Last Electro-Acoustic-Whatever and god knows what else. Here, we choose just one track, the gorgeous 'Na Boca Do Sol' sung by Celia, from the Medicine Show #2: Flight To Brazil.

Anyway, check out the whole bloodly list complete with album covers here --
